Where to Watch

The best public places to watch a rocket launch are Space View Park and the Max Brewer Causeway in Titusville — directly across the river from the pads — plus Jetty Park and Cherie Down Park in Cape Canaveral, and the Cocoa Beach Pier, Lori Wilson Park, and Alan Shepard Park in Cocoa Beach. Arrive early for crewed missions, and expect a double sonic boom a few minutes after liftoff when boosters land back at the Cape.

Directly across the Indian River from the pads — the closest public views of a KSC launch anywhere.

Space View Park

The definitive launch-watching spot: the U.S. Space Walk of Fame's astronaut monuments line a riverfront with a straight shot across the water to the pads.

Local tip: For crewed launches locals treat it like a tailgate — arrive hours early and bring chairs.

Parrish Park · Max Brewer Causeway

Wide-open water on both sides of the causeway with unobstructed sightlines to Kennedy Space Center — many consider the bridge walk the best free view in Florida.
